LumiNav is designed as an on-device utility suite combining a High-Accuracy GPS Camera, Precision 3D Compass, Dual-Axis Bubble Level, and Flashlight/Torch. All sensor processing, location calculations, and photo captures are executed 100% locally on your device. We do NOT harvest, store on external servers, sell, or share your personal data, camera frames, or location history with third parties.

LumiNav requests access to your device's Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) solely for the following functional purposes:
Privacy Guarantee: Camera frames and captured images are processed strictly in real-time on your device screen. We do not record video silently in the background, nor do we upload captured photos to any cloud storage, external AI servers, or remote endpoints.
LumiNav requests access to Fine Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) and Coarse Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) permissions to provide core features:
Local Processing: Location data is accessed only while the app is actively in use or when capturing a photo. Location telemetry is never logged in the background when the app is closed, nor is your precise location sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
LumiNav accesses device hardware sensors, including the magnetometer (magnetic field sensor), accelerometer, and gyroscope. This hardware telemetry is used strictly to:
Sensor telemetry remains entirely inside device RAM and is discarded continuously as new readings arrive.
To save captured photos to your device gallery, LumiNav utilizes standard Android storage mechanisms (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on legacy OS versions or standard MediaStore API on modern Android versions).
All location coordinates, elevation readings, compass directions, addresses, and sensor measurements provided by LumiNav are calculated from your device hardware and standard Android APIs. Readings may contain variances or inaccuracies due to:

LumiNav must NEVER be presented or relied upon as a certified instrument for professional surveying, land navigation, emergency response, aviation, maritime navigation, military operations, or safety-critical tasks. Always independently verify critical location and direction information with certified equipment.
While LumiNav strives to provide prompt and clear location overlays on captured images, we do not guarantee that every photo captured will contain 100% accurate or uninterrupted location telemetry. Factors such as cold GPS satellite acquisition times, device sleep modes, or permission revoking can cause temporary location gaps.
Users are solely responsible for reviewing stamped location metadata on photos before utilizing them for legal, commercial, or official documentation purposes.
Because LumiNav processes all location telemetry, camera frames, and sensor readings locally on your physical device without remote transmission, your personal content is protected by your Android device's native security sandbox and file system encryption. Third-party advertising communication via AdMob uses industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption.
LumiNav is a general-audience utility app and is not directed towards children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
You retain total control over your device permissions at all times. You can grant, deny, or revoke Camera, Location, or Storage permissions at any time through your Android System Settings (Settings > Apps > LumiNav GPS Camera > Permissions).
Denying permissions will restrict corresponding features (e.g., denying location will prevent GPS overlays from appearing on photos), but the app will continue to function gracefully for non-dependent features.
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates, platform policy revisions, or legal requirements. Any updates will be published with a revised "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
